Retrospection of "Sunrise"
Medium: Tissue paper on canvas

Bringing "Sunrise" into the contemporary era is a fascinating endeavor.

Monet's masterpiece "Impression, Sunrise" ignited the Impressionism movement, a period characterized by capturing natural scenes and the emotions evoked by outdoor light. As artists painted en plein air, the sunlight continuously shifted, contributing to the rich variety of colors seen in Impressionist works. These colors often awakened Monet's repressed emotions when he viewed his paintings in the studio.

In my exploration, I imagined the weather and environment Monet experienced while creating "Sunrise." Through this reflection, I sought to express Monet's emotions using my own creative interpretation, inspired by his original work.
